Who we are
The Blue Ridge Live Steamers are a casual group of ride-on train enthusiasts who enjoy operating trains on 5 acres of beautiful land in Franklin County, Virginia. The club has been active for 45 years, first meeting at nearby Roanoke’s Transportation Museum and, since 1987, at the current location. Come join us for friendly fellowship and fun while running trains and working on track!
4,300+ ft of bidirectional track on 5 acres with tunnels, bridges, train storage facilities, a clubhouse, camping, & more!

2025 Season:
4.4 - 4.6 | Informal meet. Come join us for some train operations and annual track maintenance. Camping for participants available.
4.26 | Join us at the Ashland Train Day (Ashland, Va)
5.22 - 5.25 | Memorial Day Run: All are welcome. Come see us and ride a train, or bring equipment to operate. Camping for participants available.
